Campfire! is operated by Campfire Games (“we,” “us,” “our”). We build tools that make trivia fun for scout troops, classrooms, families, and anyone who loves a good question.

Account holders (game hosts) — When you create an account you provide an email address and a display name. We also store the games you create and basic diagnostic information (device type, app version, crash logs) to keep the service running smoothly.

Players (people who join a game) — Players do not need an account and we do not collect personal information from them. Patrol names and scores exist only on the host’s device during the game and are not transmitted to our servers.

We take children’s privacy seriously. Campfire! is designed so that children can participate as players without providing any personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Account creation is limited to users aged 16 and over. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@playcampfire.app so we can address it.

We use the information we collect to:

• Let you sign in and manage your account.
• Store and deliver the trivia games you create.
• Generate QR codes and join links so players can enter a game.
• Diagnose bugs and improve the app.
• Respond to support requests.

We do not run ads in Campfire! and we never sell your data to anyone.

Service providers — We use third-party providers for hosting, analytics, and error reporting. These providers process data only on our behalf and under our instructions.

Published games — When you publish a game, the game content (categories, clues, answers) is accessible to anyone with the game code or link. Your display name may be shown as the game author.

Legal requirements — We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

Trivia boards you create — including categories, clues, answers, and any images you upload — are stored with your game so they can be delivered to players during a session.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content or media you include in your games. Do not upload images that contain personal information about others without their consent.

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure in the United States. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest to protect your information.

If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information and game data within 30 days. Some anonymized or aggregated data may be retained for analytics.

No system is perfectly secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information in your account settings.
• Export your game data.
• Delete your account and associated data.
