Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Campfire! app or the playcampfire.app website (together, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

You must be at least 16 years old to create a Campfire! account. Children under 16 may participate as players in a game session under the supervision of an adult — such as a scout leader, teacher, or parent — who holds the account and hosts the game.

By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 16 years of age and that, if you are hosting a game for minors, you have the authority to supervise their participation.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your password or let others use your account.

If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, please contact us immediately at support@playcampfire.app.

You retain ownership of the trivia boards, clues, and media you create in Campfire!. By uploading content to the Service, you grant Campfire Games a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to any content you upload, including images, text, and other media. Do not upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to promote hateful, violent, or sexually explicit content.
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Collect personal information from other users — especially children — through the Service.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

When you publish a game or share a game code, anyone with that code or link can join the session and view the game content. Once shared, you control access by managing the session — we cannot prevent someone who already has the code from using it.

It is your responsibility to share game codes only with the people you intend to play with. If a game is meant for a specific group, keep the code within that group.

The Campfire! name, logo, visual design, and underlying code are owned by Campfire Games and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our brand assets without written permission.

Campfire! is not created by, affiliated with, or endorsed by the Boy Scouts of America, Scouts BSA, Girl Scouts of the USA, or any other scouting organization.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Campfire Games shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising out of your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
